Turning a tube into a pair of fingerless mitts is all about customization as you choose your length, contrast color, and the stitch pattern for the cuffs, thumb, and top edge. It is easy to extend the end into a pair of regular mittens too.

One 400 yard skein can usually make several pairs of mitts, or one pair of socks and one pair of mitts. Once you’ve decided what you want to make with your yarn, fill out a copy of the order form (download the order form here) and send it to us with your yarn. We’ll have it cranked into a tube and on its way back to you in just a few days. Our photo-tutorial pattern is always included with your tube.

We have mitt kits available in our Etsy shop.

Our mitt kits come with a tube, contrast yarn, and the pattern for this quick, fun project. We have many tube options available as kits: 60 and 72-stitch sizes, striped, variegated, ribbed, with Lycra, and just plain so you can add your own embellishment.
